We are a group of neighbors working to protect Bancroft Parkway and need your help. Whether you can spare an hour or want to be more involved, there is a role for you! Ways to contribute: attending the public hearing, distributing yard signs, reaching out to neighbors, helping with outreach and communications, or pledging support.
This process is still in motion. The City Planning Commission and Wilmington City Council need to hear from the people who live here. Here is how you can help:
Write to the City Planning Commission
Submit written testimony opposing the rezoning. Your letter goes on the official record and is read by commissioners before they vote.
Contact City Council
City Council has the final vote on the rezoning ordinance. Email or call all City Council members today!
Attend the City Planning Commission Public Hearing
June 16th, 2026 (postponement to July 21st, 2026 is very possible) — City Planning Commission Public Hearing, 6:30 p.m.
Location: Louis L. Redding City/County Building, 800 N. French Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19801, likely in Council Chambers
Attend City Council Meetings
The rezoning ordinance must be read at three City Council meetings before a vote. Dates TBD — check back for updates.
Get a Yard Sign
Yard signs have been ordered and have started to arrive to raise awareness to this effort. Submit your info via this form if you're interested in a yard sign or contributing to the fund for additional yard signs.
Spread the Word
Share this site (ProtectBancroftParkway.org) with your neighbors, especially those along Bancroft Parkway, Bancroft Village, Wawaset Park, and Union Park Gardens. Talk to the people on your street. Every voice matters.
